I chose Mercer because...

I chose Mercer because of it's incredible family dynamic! Everyone was extremely welcoming and truly made Mercer feel like home to me, even before I was a student here. I also loved the idea of Mercer on Mission and the act of learning through service. I really value the importance of helping the community in every way I can and Mercer really helps me do that!

Best advice you have for incoming students?

Allow yourself some grace! The transition to college can be a lot to take in, and just remember you aren't alone! Get involved with different clubs and organizations and take advantage of the opportunities Mercer has to offer!

What is your favorite memory at Mercer so far?

I have so many! But if I had to choose one it would definitely be my experience with Mercer's Minority Mentorship Program and Opportunity Scholars! It gave me the opportunity to really connect with a lot of amazing people and helped me make some life-long friends! It also helped me get a little taste of the college life before classes started, which was also really nice! Ever since, I have been absolute best friends with everyone I met during that time.
