I chose Mercer because...

This place felt like home. From my first tour where I met some of the people who are still on admissions now to all of the admissions counselors, I could feel Mercer was a place that would make me feel safe. Mercer did not make me feel like a number like the other schools did. Every time I asked a question they answered ( trust me I had a LOT of questions) or they sent me to someone who knew. Mercer and the community you make with everyone here cannot be replicated at other schools.

What is your favorite memory at Mercer so far?

I have only been at Mercer for a year, but so far my favorite memory has been on a trip that SGA host for all students especially for freshman called Pilgrimage to Penfield. The trip was so fun because we played music the whole bus ride there. Everyone on the bus was dancing then we all ate together it was just a really happy day for me.

Best advice you have for incoming students?

Join one Club/ Organization out of pure fun and enjoyment. Then join a club that deals with your major or topics that will help you with future careers. If you do this one thing I promise you will find your community and find people who are interested in pursuing the things and career paths you love.

What is your favorite restaurant in Macon, GA?

I have 2 so the first would have to be The Rookery. The second that I go to the MOST is Osaka Hibachi & Sushi that place has my HEART. I love itttt its cheap its good what more can you ask for.
